“ Proper 21 is by far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. I am weekly bar sitter and I love everything from the ambiance, drinks and food, to the amazing staff. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to come and enjoy quality food and cocktails at a great price. +1 for the weekly specials. Shoutout to Manny and Chor (bartenders) who are the best at what they do! They always make sure I have the best hospitality each and every time and are a big reason I’m a returning customer. Cheers! ”
“ Cool Millennial bistro vibe. Kind of like where you would go out to eat before you went out to the club. Arrived after the lunch rush and had the place almost to ourselves. Excellent bartender and excellent server. The menu was not overly complicated but geared towards simple not overly complicated perfectly prepared dishes. Food was hot and fresh; expertly prepared. Cost was ~$40 /person with appetizer, drinks and lunch. A decent value for being in the City. Looking forward to going back the next time I am in DC ”
“ Seriously everyone needs to stop into proper 21 on F st as of yesterday! Where does one start? I came in wanting to watch MNF and every other game I also wanted to see was on too so off the bat +50 points, the bartenders were Choi and Manny and what a dynamic duo those 2 are! So attentive, very knowledgeable of their menu they truly guided me through it all and my only complaint is I have no more room to try it all! If I had to mention some stand out dishes I would tell you with no hesitation get any of the flatbreads and please please get the Birria Eggrolls!! For context the egg rolls were so amazing all I could show for them were my clean plate so sorry for that picture but you have to trust me I will be back religiously for those bad boys :). ”
“ Proper 21 is a stalwart in the Penn Quarter area. Undoubtedly my favorite sports bar as pictured the craft cocktails are top of the line. Huge TVs are perfect for Football Sunday, playoff hockey and basketball, and the service provided was second to none. Manny and Choi were my bartenders they were absolutely fantastic! I won’t mention how many drinks I had but each was better than the last! Two managers checked on me during my visit they were both super polite and each had excellent cocktail suggestions I think their names were Eric and Sam ; super cool guys. 10/10 experience would certainly recommend for any sporting event or very polished casual experience! ”
